Third period Eagles are somewhat curious: they are overprinted with invoice number 184-1864 in the large font used in the second period. The reason is unknown, but a few other third period invoices are also overprinted in this larger font (for example 192-1864 to Mexico and 195-1864 to Cordova).

Nine copies of the un real are known, while none of the dos reales stamps have been found to date, though it is priced in the Follansbee catalog. At least two cover with an un real exist, one to Antonio Escandon and one to his foreman Rodrigo Solares.
