The overprinting device used for the 1861 issue was used on the first Eagles sent to Orizava. Sometime in the second period, perhaps around October 1864, a device with larger letters was brought into use. The larger overprint is the same as we can find on the so-called Orizava provisionals, stamps of the 1861 issue used provisionally in mid 1867 and 1868.

Only two invoices contained 8R stamps. About 500 of each were presumably sold, but the 140-1865 seems to be even more difficult to find than the 8R from invoice 159-1864.
