The third period is a good example of the relative scarcity of Merida Eagles. Though the quantities sent are seemingly adequate, we still have not found a copy of the ½real stamps - and then the pair shown above turns up! All denominations are scarce to rare.
The sub-consignements are easily dealt with, according to Corbett: Espita received an estimated 100 of the 2R, Izamal received an estimated 100 of the 1R, Maxcanu received an estimated 100 of the ½R and 25 of the 4R, while Sisal received an estimated 100 of the 1R. Since sub-consignment numbers were not printed on the stamps they are only recognizable by their cancel.
